I spend about 10 days on the road a month. For now I am purchasing a week at a time. I have had no issues at all with the app or purchases. So far so good!!
This app outstand form others i’ve been using in all aspects, navigation speed, easy configuration, great technical support, sustainable connection . Bought it for 2 weeks to try it and as soon as i started experience connection problems, Support Team sent an email to fix it. Since then it works perfect for Mac, iphone and ipad. Note that this is from South America / Ecuador review. Hope someday it’ll work for apple tv, but for all other apple devices its performance is flawless.
So I have been using this app for a month now and it has performed as expected. No need to constantly check to see if the connection is still active. If the connection drops, the app automatically reconnects for maximum security. Previous VPN (advertised as “Unlimited” no less) was a disaster. I bought it for use in coffee shops and restaurants and the previous vendor’s app would not work where I needed it most. After a back-and-forth dialogue of me wasting my time trying some IT guy’s guess as to what was wrong, I was told outright that it was the coffee shop wifi that was preventing it from working. Interesting….no problem with VPN Shield! Good customer communication and a good app that requires minimal attention is what helps me maximize my productivity. Pay a little and get an add-free app that really works!
You get nothing in free version. Absolutely unusefull.
This application works very well. Definitely a necessary requirement hen on the go and using public wifi. Reconnects when a connection is lost so there is no worry about any security issues.
This Vpn it’s really good, I tried so many, but they are all really slow in China specially. This one works perfectly, specially the conection from japan is very fast for youtube. The support it’s really amazing and fast, everytime time I had a problem they solved it right away and they never doubt on giving me some days for free while solving my issues. I really reccomend this app. Thanks guys!
the service is good
Although it’s a little pricier than the other VPN i’ve used. This works great in China. One problem i see is on my MBP, when i click on the VPN icon on top bar, i see all the countries listed. This is too much clutter. I wish i could only install the counties i want in my pref. Also, right now, two of my devices cannot log on. if it does, it’s not very smooth. But the most important thing is, it’s faster than any other vpn i used in china and it’s simple.
Bought VPN Shield for my new MacBook because the service I used on my Windows laptop didn’t work as well on the Mac. VPN Shield is much faster, easier to use, and cheaper than the other one.
it’s fast and better and i wish iboght it befor i but my money in useless the vpn in touch app
It works pretty good in China! It still does! Usually I choose the sever in America or Singapore...
This application works great. It evaluates the security of the WiFi network you are on and actively shows in the menu bar that it is working. It is far more helpful than competitors I have used in the past. When I first used it I had some questions, and the Tech Support people were back to me very promptly.
I read reviews for many VPN programs and decided to try VPN Shield. It worked the first time without complications. The pricing is very reasonable and it’s very simple to use. I love when this work as advertised. Thanks!
Hey guys, I was thinking of purchasing this app and i want to know whether it works or not. I am now living in Nanning province, China.
This app works great. Very fast server. Easier to use than the other vpn apps I’ve used. Much better value than others.
I paid the subscription and used it smoothly for a few days. Then I could not connect again because of “Authentication Failed”. Fix this bug or give my money back.
It is a great VPN and it doesn’t reduce internet speed at all.
It works like magic! You will not be disappointed.
VPN Shield has a reasonably good user interface compared to other VPNs I’ve tried, although it’s STILL A BIT FUSSY AND COUNTER-INTUITIVE AT TIMES. For example, when your subscription has expired and you click on the “VPN Shield” icon in the menu bar to renew your sub, once payment is made through the App Store, you have to quit the app and relaunch; otherwise, the new “paid-up” command doesn’t work, VPN Shield remains off, and it still shows “subscription expired”. Also, the “authentication” after purchase is somewhat unclear. I had to “noodle around” a bit to make it work. After buying a subscription, the app still works on only one of my Macs, although the menu bar icon shows up on all of them after loading the app. I’m still trying to figure this out. There’s no reason why a paid-up subscription shouldn’t effortlessly load on all my Macs the second I add the app to my Applications list on each machine. VPN SHIELD NEEDS TO HAVE MUCH CLEARER AND LENGTHIER “COOKBOOK INSTRUCTIONS” for those of us who need them. Brilliant computer coders often think their work is “intuitively obvious” to all of us. It usually isn’t. We also need A MUCH CLEARER INDICATION THAT VPN SHIELD IS REALLY RUNNING, rather than a slightly darkened icon in the menu bar. When I’m traveling in a repressive dictatorship, I need to know CLEARLY AND QUICKLY if VPN Shield is on. It’s way too easy to forget to turn it back on after a reboot. SOLUTION: RATHER THAN TINY, MEANINGLESS ICONS, CODERS SHOULD USE <WORDS> in the menu bar—e.g., “VPN ON” and “VPN OFF". In the VPN Shield Preferences, we should be able to make a choice between menu-bar “icon” or “words”. If the user wants it, THERE IS ROOM IN THE MENU BAR FOR REAL WORDS! Thats an important lesson Macintosh inventor JEF RASKIN taught us over 30 years ago, now routinely ignored by many of today’s programmers who think icons are instantly meaningful to everyone. They rarely are!
